Utimaco Safeguard Option for CP220
The new security solution with the hardened Windows Mobile operating system is available as an option for the GSMK CryptoPhone 220. Together with the CryptoPhone Security Profile Manager, fully integration of the data encryption and authentication software SafeGuard PDA in the firmware of mobile CryptoPhone Pocket PC devices is realized. This way, SafeGuard PDA can withstand a hard reset of the device. SafeGuard PDA offers transparent protection of the contact and calendar database as well as other data and files in PDA memory and removable media against unauthorized access; easy, encrypted data exchange between PC and PDA platform via memory cards or e-mail; flexible, centrally enforcable security settings and configuration rights for end-users; and a number of authentication choices (password, biometric, symbol PIN).
Integration of SafeGuard PDA allows companies, organizations and authorities to store sensitive data on mobile devices without fear of misuse, while at the same time enjoying the well-established security of fully encrypted confidential phone calls on their GSMK CryptoPhone.
